Its been three long years in the making but our new LP, Spies, is here!! (Click here to stream Spies.) And it's definitely been worth the wait.
"Spies" finds The Shift back at what they do best, and yet, better than ever. This album takes on a more ambitious approach to their funky electro-acoustic house and downtempo style. Scottie B's chunky beats and samples lay the backdrop for the original band members to do their thing: Brian Fegan on guitar, Chris Tempas on keys, and Mike DeVellis on sax and flute. Newcomer Jeff Angel brings his thick, juicy basslines to the forefront. Vocalist Rhiannon joins the group again for the title track; a funky, up-tempo house cut. Accomplished singer-songwriter-innovator Bora Yoon collaborates on the slick downbeat cut "On This Side" while newcomer China Edelman lays down vocals over "Phone Song", a groovy house track.
NEW BLUNTED RELEASE!! The Shift's Mister Blue EP is now available exclusively at Stompy.com featuring the JOHN LARNER remix and Scottie B's original track Fixed. Look for it out everywhere in mid-april.

We always knew we put together one hell of an LP. Now the rest of the country is finding out as well since we debuted at #25 on the CMJ RPM Chart, and we've been holding steady across the nation. And we gotta throw some big shout outs to stations like WDET in Detroit, KJCC in San Jose, WRUV in Burlington, WXOU in Rochester, KUPS in Tacoma, WWVU in Morgantown, and KSYM in San Antonio for all their top 5 airplay. And big thanks to CFRE in Mississauga, ON and to our hometown M3 in NY, NY where we're #1. Thanks for listening guys. Enjoy.
We just want to inform all you Apple/iPod lovers out there -- basically everyone -- that you can now purchase the critically acclaimed disc, Modified Times, at the iTunes Music Store
